Shadow User
Setting Shadow User is optional.
When Kondukto assigns issues to relevant people on issue managers, Kondukto checks for the status of the assignee on Kondukto, and when the status is not active, the issues are automatically directed to their shadow users.
The cycle repeats five times as in the following example;
Original User | Shadow User | Status of Original User |
---|---|---|
John | Mary | Away |
Mary | Derick | Deactivated |
Derick | Jack | Away |
Jack | Alice | Deactivated |
Alice | Damien | Away |
In this scenario, if an issue is intended to be assigned to John, it will be delegated to Damien, provided that Damien's status remains active on Kondukto.
Original User | Shadow User | Status of Original User |
---|---|---|
John | Mary | Away |
Mary | John | Deactivated |
Derick | Jack | Away |
Jack | Alice | Deactivated |
Alice | Damien | Away |
In the given example above, where John is defined as Mary's shadow user, the issue would be assigned to John, as there are no preceding active shadow users before the original user.
The issue is assigned to the original user if there are no active shadow users before the cycle is completed.
